New Delhi: After battling past cancer and receiving treatment in Boston for several months, Yuvraj Singh is all set to return to India on Monday. Currently in London, the 30-year-old cricketer's health is recovering at a good pace.
Yuvraj tweeted in the early hours of Sunday morning, "finally the day has come ! i am going home tomorrow ! cant wait , excited to see my friends and family ..see you india!! mera bharat mahan !"
The south paw, however is not expected to play for a few months and was predicted to return to the playing field closer to the end of 2012.
Diagnosed with a rare form of germ cell cancer, Yuvraj underwent three sessions of chemotherapy and was discharged from his hospital last month. He is expected to announce his future plans and details about treatment received once he returns to the country.
Throughout his stay in Boston, the flamboyant cricketer was active on Twitter and thanked well-wishers for their prayers and support. His idol in Lance Armstrong wrote to him on Thursday, urging him to forget the past and live strong.
Recently, Yuvraj also met Sachin Tendulkar in London who had gone there to get a check up on a toe injury.
Yuvraj missed the entire Australian tour and will miss the Indian Premier League season 5 due to his ailment.
