After the Chinese start-up Xiaomi announced the first smartphone with
Qualcomm's S4 Pro quad-core processor - Mi-Two recently, Qualcomm has
revealed that S4 Pro will also power LG's next flagship device. This LG's
new quad-core smartphone, which is currently in production, is likely to
go on sale starting next month in South Korea followed by global
availability.
"This smartphone will be the newest commercial and
global device to offer a quad core CPU Snapdragon S4 processor along
with 3G/LTE multi-mode capabilities, delivering a superior mobile
experience for voice, web browsing, games, user interfaces and other
graphics applications," stated Qualcomm in a statement given to Anandtech.
Rumoured to launch as LG Optimus G, this smartphone is
alleged to feature 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 4.7-inch 720p
IPS LCD display.
Other details like the Android version on-board
are still under wraps, but we hope to hear something from LG at the
upcoming IFA trade fair.
LG Optimus 4X HD is company's current
flagship smartphone and it features NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor
with 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0 and 4.7-inch 720p HD display.
