Samsung has launched its Galaxy Note II phablet in India. This is first Samsung device to be launched with Android Jelly Bean on board.

Samsung had first unveiled Galaxy Note II at IFA 2012. Just like the original Note device, Note II is also a smartphone-tablet hybrid. It sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. It has a 3100mAh battery and has 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card.

The device features a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front camera. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Note II comes with the S-Pen stylus for taking notes on the device. In terms of connectivity, Samsung Galaxy Note II offers 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0.

Samsung Galaxy Note II also packs in features such as Air View, Popup Note and Quick Command.

Samsung Galaxy Note II is available in two colours - titanium grey and marble white. This device will be available in Samsung exclusive stores from next week. The phablet has been priced at Rs. 39,990, which makes it slightly more expensive than the launch price of the original Galaxy Note. Given the dollar appreciation since last year, that's not a surprising move.

About a week ago, Samsung had started taking pre-booking of this device on Samsung's official India e-store.

Samsung had launched its original Note device in November 2011 and has managed to ship 10 million units of the same by August 2012.
