Early this week, RIM the Canadian handset manufacturer unveiled the new BlackBerry 10 OS to the developers at the BlackBerry Jam 2012 Conference and announced that the OS will be released by Q1 2013. However, two series of smartphones – L series and N series based on the new platform are still under development.

A promo video posted on Vimeo, the video sharing website was spotted by the editor of Crackberry, a site dedicated to BlackBerry and the images were copied before the video was pulled down by the editor.
The video hints that BlackBerry 10 OS will be run on two different types of devices – a full touchscreen device and a touchscreen + QWERTY hybrid device. It also demonstrates simplistic navigation and deep integration to social networks including Twitter.

When it comes to the touchscreen + QWERTY hybrid device with the BlackBerry 10 OS, underneath the large touchscreen display is a four row QWERTY keyboard. This is a mockup with an interesting design, which is devoid the popular trackball and optical trackpad of RIM’s smartphones.

Though the video was removed by the person who uploaded it in Vimeo, Slashgear has managed to grab a copy of it.

While unveiling the new OS to the developers, the company also showcased its new features including BlackBerry Hub – upgrade to the existing messaging system, BlackBerry App World with the ability to sell music, movies and TV shows and BlackBerry Messenger with improved camera and many other features.
