Sony Mobile India has announced on its official Facebook page that it will be launching the much-awaited Xperia S smartphone on April 10 in the country. Xperia S is the first self-branded smartphone from the manufacturer and runs on Android 2.3.
First showcased at Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, Sony Xperia S features 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual core processor, 4.3 inch display and 12.1MP rear camera. It also comes with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Sony has already promised the Ice Cream Sandwich update for Xperia S in the second quarter of this year.
According to the online retailer listings, Sony Xperia S is expected to be priced at Rs. 32549, but there has been no official confirmation so far. Company is also running a promotion, in which it is offering free accessories to initial buyers of the smartphone.
