After having an earth-shattering response on first day, Kabir Khan directed movie Ek Tha Tiger has witnessed a considerable amount of dip in its business at the Box Office on the second day and that is due to busy day for schools and college. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer movie has grossed Rs 47.43 crore mark in just two days. This is a record amount of collection.
Ek Tha Tiger witnessed nearly 50% downfall in its collection at the Box Office in India on the second day. On Thursday, trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#EkThaTiger is 50% of Wed. Yet, the contribution from several mass-dominated centres should contribute to a healthy total." In reply to one of his follower, he defended its fall, "A 50% to 60% decline on a regular working day, after a holiday, is normal. Every film dips."
Salman Khan's romantic action movie, which was released in 3,300 screens in the country on Wednesday, had collected Rs 32.92 crores nett at the domestic Box Office on the first day of its release. Ek Tha Tiger added Rs 14.50+ crores nett to its two days total Rs 47.43 crores nett. But it has failed to cross Rs 50 crore mark.
However, Ek Tha Tiger has two holidays (Sunday and Monday - Eid). Even if its business moves at current pace on Friday and Saturday, its collection would easily cross Rs 100 crore mark on Monday. As per trade analyst predictions, the film would collect Rs 130+ crore on Monday. If this prediction turns out to be true, it would be the biggest record collection in the history of Indian cinema.
