Salman Khan's previous release Bodyguard has set a new
record at the Box Office by grossing Rs 22 crores nett on the first day
of its release in India. But this record was erased by Hrithik Roshan's
recent release Agneepath, which has set new bench mark at the Box Office. Now, the question is that will Salman's latest movie Ek Tha Tiger break this first day record of Agneepath?
Karan Johar produced movie Agneepath
starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the leads, was one of
the most-hyped movies and was released on January 26, Republic Day of
India. The movie had registered 90% to 100% occupancy in both single
screens and multiplexes across the country. The movie had raked in Rs 23
crore net on the first day. It is the biggest opener in Bollywood so
far.
Whereas, Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger is also one of the much-hyped movie, which has been making it to the headlines for all good reasons ever since Kabir Khan announced it. The hype and buzz created around the film seems to be bigger than that of Agneepath. It is touted to be the next 100 crore Bollywood movie.
The music and promos of the film Ek Tha Tiger
have garnered a very big appreciation from both film critics as well as
audience. With the D-Day is just a few hours away, the fever of the
movie is fast gripping fans on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. There is no end for the excitement of film goers, who are all desperate to watch the movie.
Agneepath was released on 2,000 screens in India and 650 screens in internal market. Whereas, Ek Tha Tiger
is reportedly releasing on nearly 2,500 screens in the country alone.
The Salman and Katrina starrer has also better performance in advance ticket booking than the Hrithik and Priyanka starrer film.
With all such 'definite things' in the happening, Ek Tha Tiger is sure to rock this Independence Day. The movie would surely break the first day record of Agneepath and becomes the biggest opener movie. Trade experts predict that Ek Tha Tiger
will collect Rs 27 to 30 crore nett on the first day. It should be seen
whether it will really touch the mark. Stay locked to Box Office
reports to read about it.
