Soon after the launch of Galaxy Note 2 by the South Korean tech giant Samsung in August, another handset manufacturer from South Korea – Pantech has come up with the Vega R3 smartphone sporting a 5.3 inch touchscreen display.
At the launch event, the Vice President of Pantech, Lee Joon-woo was quoted saying, “The smartphone market is changing into an unprecedented scene of fierce competition … Vega R3 is the best existing quad-core smartphone. I dare tell competitors to learn from Pantech. Pantech grabbed the No. 2 market share last year. If we properly compete with the iPhone 5, we anticipate reclaiming the position sometime in the first half.”
