A R Murugadoss while mentioning about this film has said, " There are five songs in this film. Apart from this there is also a small song. In a week’s time we will be ready with the theme music of Thuppakki. The next schedule of shooting will commence on 12th April. Since Vijay requested me I am donning a small role in this film. We will be commencing the work connected with the First Look shortly. At the shooting spots, Vijay will not even touch his cell phone. He is so dedicated. I like his attitude very much."
