Akshay Kumar's previous release Housefull 2 has already joined the club of Rs 100 crore. Just a few months after it, his another release Rowdy Rathore, which has opened to an overwhelming response, is now all set to join the club. The Prabhu Deva directed film is the third film to enter the league in the year 2012.
Rowdy Rathore, which features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the leads, received a fabulous opening on Friday with its first day collection reaching Rs 15.1 crores nett. The movie continued to do well at the Box Office on Saturday and Sunday and it collected Rs 48.7 crores nett in the first three days.
The business of Rowdy Rathore went down drastically by almost 40% to 50% and it collected Rs 9.5 crores nett on Monday. The movie continued to fall at the Box Office with its collection reaching Rs 8.12 crores on Tuesday. Despite of the drop in its business, its collection seemed to be very high in the weekdays when compared to other big releases.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says that it is raining money for Rowdy Rathore. He tweeted, "It's cloudy. Seems like it will rain today!" Later, he added, "Rains or no rains, but it seems like its raining money for #RowdyRathore at BO. Tuesday biz slightly lower than Monday. Setting new records!"
However, Rowdy Rathore has raked in Rs 65.92 crores at the Box Office in India as up on Tuesday. The action thriller movie will not be able to cross Rs 100 crore mark in the first week of its release. Even if the film runs at the current pace, it would collect another Rs 16 crores to Rs 18 crores, which would make maximum of Rs 82 crores to Rs 85 crores. But it would obviously cross the mark in the next weekend.
