Ice Cream Sandwich Update: HTC One X Gets Android 4.0.4, Supports Indian Languages And More

The International version of the HTC One X received the Android 4.0.4 ICS upgrade in mid August. Now the HTC One X handsets in India also started getting the over the air (OTA) update of the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich from today itself. The update also brings Sense 4.1 for the smartphone. Almost 141.21MB in size, this update is dubbed as software number 2.17.720.2. 

Apart from these changes, this update also brings Hindi, Tamil, and Marathi language support to One X, as was earlier promised by the company. 


New Features
The Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will offer improvements in several segments including system performance, stability, memory, overall browsing experience, HTC Car user experience, UI and music management features. 

Apart from these improvements, the upgrade will add Facebook Single Sign-on, allowing the users to access all the applications and browsers easily. It will also offer increased space for handwriting input, improve the usability of the handset with many sizing enhancements. 
The Android ICS update offers a new SDK support for the developers and most importantly, Hindi, Marathi and Tamil keyboard support. 

Moreover, the update brings about an improved Sense 4.1 UI experience to the smartphone.
