Apple showcased the iOS 6 at the WWDC (WorldWide Developer Conference) in June and claimed that it will have a plethora new software features including including Apple Maps, deeper integration to Facebook and Twitter, enhanced Siri voice assistant, new Safari browser and many more.

The newest Apple mobile OS is now available for download for the existing products including iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, new iPad, and iPod Touch from September 19 through OTA update or from iTunes.
Though the upgrade is global, not all the users will receive all the new features of the OS and Apple has already listed the availability of features based on the location.
Good Features
Talking about the features, not every new feature is good in the iOS 6. Here are the list of good aspects of the OS.
The minor changes in the phone features like setting custom messages, responding to calls with a text message or iMessage note, diverting calls to voicemail, Do Not Disturb feature, Priority VIP tagging in email inbox and individual signature for individual mails are welcome features.
When it comes to the iPad users, the iPad Clock app is a good one with world clock and weather-forecast.
Moreover, the improved Siri, the virtual assistant software can provide users with the scores of favorite sports, help users to find out movies being played at a theatre, get a list of restaurants and book a reservation based on rating and also launch applications.
Also, the deeper social network integration with Facebook enables easy sharing of photos and more.
Safari has also received a major update with the ability to go full screen on the device by touching the arrows on the corners. Another major feature of the new Safari app is the ability to sync tabs between the desktop and iOS versions of Safari. This new feature is called iCloud Tabs.
Bad Features
On the other hand, when talking about the features that need some improvement, the PassBook app is the first one, which will come to the users’ minds as it needs some enhancements. Next comes the redesigned app store that takes a lot of time to display the search results.
One of the main disappointing aspect of the iOS 6 is the Apple Maps, which largely affects the commuters using the public transit. As compared to the Google Maps, it offers better turn-by-turn navigation and walking ans driving instructions, but these are power hungry.
