Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies in July announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Chat which was initially rolled out in the markets of Europe, Latin America, Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia at a competitive price point.
However, this weekend the new full QWERTY keypad budget phone reached the Indian boundaries and is now available online at Saholic at a price of Rs 8,499.
Powered by Android 4.0, the Galaxy Chat combines a 3.0’’ touch-screen and sports a sleek, compact design, runs on 850MHz processor, houses a 2MP camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory (more files can be included with the help of 32GB microSD card slot) and there is also a 1,200 mAh battery. Users can operate the 2 mega pixels rear camera even if the screen is locked. Moreover, the phone is easily portable at 112 grams and the thickness is 11.7 mm. Also, the new Galaxy phone comes with a dedicated button for company’s ChatON messenger.
