What’s Good?
Dual Core Processor
-
Canvas
2 is equipped with a dual core processor and hence it has increased
performance, more memory space, increased reliability and faster
multi-tasking capabilities as compared to other budget phablets.
-
The presence of IPS display technology is impressive as the feature is present only in high-end smartphones.
-
Pricing
is one important aspect of the phablet as it is available for Rs 9,999
making it the cheapest phablet available in the country.
-
The
notification LED at the top left of the front of Canvas 2 is a good
welcome as it notifies users silently as any notification comes in.
-
Canvas 2 A110 features capacitive buttons below the touchscreen display as opposed to the on-screen buttons.
Android Jelly bean Missing
-
Micromax
could have built the phablet with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, which is
utilized in some of the promising budget tablet including Croma and
Wicked Leak tablets launched recently.
-
Though
there is an 8MP rear camera on the phablet, the screen resolution is
too low (480 x 800 pixels) totaling only to 196 ppi pixel density
approximately, hence, the camera performance might not be as good as it
is in other devices with 8MP and at a higher price.
- As
Canvas A100, which was launched in August 2012 faced some issues
including sluggish performance, hence, consumers might like to have some
expert feedback on its successor before buying one.
