Google
had recently announced Nexus 4 smartphone and new Android 4.2 OS. The
company is aptly following up with an updated Google Search app
for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean users. This new update incorporates several
features which were mentioned in Android 4.2 announcement made by the
company.
Google
Now has been integrated with Gmail and there are also new improved
cards for hotels, restaurants, flights, events and packages. Several new
cards for popular photo spots, movies, landmarks and concerts have also
been added with the new update. New voice actions have also been added
which includes actions for launching apps, scheduling meetings etc.
Google has showcased its motive to integrate key features present in the Android 4.2 app into the Jelly Bean version.
Gmail
integration of Google Now will allow the later to be much more
personalized to users needs. The integration will also allow the app to
provide information which is more location and time specific.
Users
will no longer need to search through their inbox for find relevant
information. It is only a few months since Google Now has been launched
and it is already witnessing significant progress. Android 4.1 update is
rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X. This will make sure
that the new update for the search app will benefited by lots of Android users.
Google has also been updating the list of cards which Google Now can
access through the web. With the newly included cards, the utility of
the app is elevated to a great extent. Google is also working to release
more relevant cards for its users.
Google
has given the liberty to users when it comes to control in Google Now.
Users can adjust or turn off individual cards with in Settings when they
